You can have up to 4 accounts linked to your Portal TV. The accounts you add must be Facebook friends with an account already connected to your Portal TV.
Your Portal contacts are the Facebook friends, Messenger connections and WhatsApp contacts of all accounts linked to your Portal. With Portal, you can make and receive calls to and from your Facebook friends, Messenger connections and WhatsApp contacts. You can add or remove photos by tapping the toggle next to any albums or photo collections listed in the Superframe settings menu.
When you're not on a call, Superframe can display photos of your choosing. You can remove apps from your Portal home screen by pressing and holding on the app, selecting the X on the app you'd like to remove and tapping Done to save your edits. After you set up your Portal, you'll have a selection of apps already installed and a selection of apps available for download. Tap the app you'd like to connect and follow the on-screen instructions. App availability differs based on the location where you use Portal. You can adjust the brightness of your Portal display by swiping up on your Portal screen to view the Quick Controls and adjusting the brightness slider.
You can control your Portal volume by swiping up to view the Quick Controls menu or by using the volume buttons on your Portal. We recommend a few tips to make sure you're using your Portal safely and responsibly with kids in the home.
Your Portal TV remote allows you to select, navigate, go Home, go back, play, pause, control the volume and more. You can edit favorites using your Portal TV or using the Portal app. To pair your Portal TV remote, begin by removing the plastic battery tab on the back of your remote control.
You can connect your WhatsApp account to your Portal during setup or in Settings. You need a Facebook account or a WhatsApp account to set up your Portal. The Portal app helps you manage your Portal devices from your mobile phone. With the Portal app you can do things like call your Portal and update your favorites. You need your Portal device, a Facebook account or WhatsApp account, a high-speed wireless internet connection, and a clean, safe space to place your Portal. Portal currently supports several languages.
Additional language support may be added in the future. You can view the regulatory information for your Portal from the About section of your Portal's settings menu. You can edit favorites using your Portal or using the Portal app. You can connect to Alexa during the initial setup of your Portal, or from the Settings menu.
Before you set up your Portal, make sure you have all the items that should be included in your Portal box. To set up your Portal, you'll need a Facebook or WhatsApp account.
